in 2010 Nokia was preparing applications for the launch of the N9, a MeeGo OS, v1.2 Harmattan phone. I worked with another UX person to design the twitter application that would be part of the shipped software.
We brainstormed how to merge the navigation and organization of Twitter which was in its own state of flux at the time with an emerging OS. A major challenge of this project was that the MeeGo platform was under heavy development while the individual design teams were building their respective apps. Even concepts as basic as hierarchical navigation and multitasking were still rapidly changing while we worked on the app. My UXD partner focused on IA and UI, while i focused on visual presentation and working with my engineering front-end devs building the application.
A fully reimagined view of Twitter for the launch of the N9.
